History

Marsh (Hong Kong) Limited was formed from two mergers. The first occurred in March 1997 when Johnson & Higgins and Marsh & McLennan - two global leaders in risk management consulting and insurance broking - entered a strategic business combination joining two firms with almost 300 years of collective experience. The merger of the Sedgwick Group's risk and insurance services operations with J&H Marsh & McLennan in August 1998 solidified Marsh's position as the world's largest insurance broking and risk management consulting firm.
